Primary Care Paramedic – Alberta

This role would be performed in industrial settings. This role includes travel and living away from home for stretches of time. As a member of Haztech’s Basic Life Support (BLS) team, the Primary Care Paramedic provides onsite emergency medical services within an industrial environment, tending to both urgent, and non-urgent medical needs. Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise to provide emergency response, medical assessment, primary health care, chronic disease management, injury prevention, health promotion, and coordinate emergency medical evacuations as needed. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company while providing a safe and positive work environment. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained. Develop relationships and rapport with all colleagues, contractors and clients. You will exercise independence, judgment and initiative by logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems that arise on site.

The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
    • Completion of recognized Primary Care Paramedic program & valid license in province of work
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
    • International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certificate
    • Experience working on remote industrial, construction and resource sector projects
    • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
    • Valid driver’s license and criminal record clearance
    • Professionally represent Haztech and provide exceptional service to all clients

As a member of Haztech’s Medical team, the Primary Care Paramedic provides mobile testing services for COVID-19.

Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise to collect nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs, antigen and antibody tests, and infectious disease management. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company while providing a safe and positive experience for the public. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, and evaluate patient care plans following provincial and federal guidelines. Prepare rooms and mobile treatment centre, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained. Develop relationships and rapport with all colleagues, customers, and clients. You will exercise independence, judgment and initiative by logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems that arise.

Haztech to Provide COVID-19 Testing Relief to the Province of Saskatchewan

REGINA, Saskatchewan– (BUSINESS WIRE)–Haztech, an industry-leading healthcare and safety company to perform COVID-19 testing in cooperation with the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Health Authority has received approval and provincial licensing of Haztech’s owned and operated medical laboratory in Regina.

Anyone in the province who is asymptomatic and wishes to be tested can get tested whether for work, travel, school or for peace of mind.

Haztech’s PCR test results are available within 24-48 hours or rush results within 24 hours upon request. Rapid testing results for Antigen and Antibody tests are available within 15 minutes. Testing certificates for travel and other purposes are also provided after each test.
