Description
This course is intended for workers that are responsible for directing traffic in a construction zone or work area. Once completed, participants will have the theory required to flag on provincial highways, rural municipal roads and urban centers. Employers must complete the practical portion of training with their workers. Certificates are valid for 5 years.
Course Content Includes:
- Saskatchewan legislation and responsibilities
- Personal protective equipment required for a flag person
- Hazard identification
- How to set up a flag person station and work positioning
- How to direct traffic and signals
- Safe work practices and procedures
