Mental Health First Aid

Course participants are required to complete Module 1 online (approx. 2 hours) before participating in class.

Once registered, participants will be emailed access to the MHFA Participant Reference Guide that outlines MHFA actions for developing mental health and substance use problems and crises. 

Participants must submit proof of completion no later than 48 hours before the start of class.

$250 + GST & PST

Course participants will learn how to recognize signs that a person may be experiencing a decline in their mental well-being or a mental health crisis and encourage that person to:

• Talk about declines in their mental well-being
• Discuss professional and other supports that could help with recovery to improved mental well-being
• Reach out to these supports
• Assist in a mental health or substance use crisis
• Use MHFA actions to maintain one’s own mental well-being

1 day in class and approximately 2 hours online.

Cancellation Policy:

Should the course be cancelled; advance notice and alternative dates will be provided or a full refund will be made.

If a participant cancels their registration the refunded amount will depend on when we are notified:

45 or more days prior to course date: Full refund

30-44 days prior to course date: 50% refund

Less than 30 days prior to course date: Non-refundable

If a participant does not complete Module 1 of the course by the specified deadline, then that participant is not eligible for a refund and their registration is non-transferrable.

Successful participants will receive a Mental Health First Aid certificate from the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
