Practical rigging is an essential skill for all riggers and crane operators. This practical rigging training course provides riggers and operators with a strong foundation in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance for equipment and proper rigging procedures.
This course identifies the basic hazards in rigging and hoisting, explains the safeguards necessary to control or eliminate these hazards, and spells out other essential safety requirements.
Course Objectives
- OH&S Regulations pertaining to rigging
- Describe how to safely and efficiently rig a load
- Demonstrate the proper methods of slinging a load
- Explain the fundamental properties of different sling types and describe the methods of attachment to use in rigging
Duration
The duration of the Hoisting and Rigging course is 8 hours and includes a mandatory written theory test, skills practice and operator performance evaluation.
Certificate
You will receive a Hoisting and Rigging Safety certification which is valid for 3 years.
