Registered Nurse – Quebec

Haztech has a GREAT opportunity for (2) REGISTERED NURSES in Quebec with Occupational Health experience or for any RN’s wanting to venture into Occupational Health in the Industrial sector. The RN’s will work two (2) weeks on and two (2) weeks off at an industrial site in Northern Quebec.

The role begins in January 2023.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and treat patients
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
  • Record patient medical information and vital signs
  • Modify patients’ treatment plan as indicated by responses and condition
  • Prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, maintain equipment and ensure supply stocks are maintained
  • Coordinate and execute health screening program for all employees, visitors and contractors
  • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
  • Complete required questionnaires, risk assessments and health screening
  • Assess patients’ health care needs, and record patients’ medical information

Medical Laboratory Assistant – Full-time & Casual, Regina, SK

Job Description

Haztech has an opening for qualified MEDICAL LAB ASSISTANTS to join our team on a full-time and casual basis in Regina, SK.

Role Description

The duties will include but not be limited to specimen collection, labeling, and operation of lab equipment.

  • Prepares client (e.g., identification, obtains consent, provides
    instruction of collection procedure) for specimen procurement
  • Performs specimen collection (phlebotomy)
  • Labels all blood samples correctly
  • Ensure stability of specimen is maintained and adheres to all timing protocols
  • Centrifuges, aliquots and distributes specimens to testing facility

Pre-analytical testing according to standard operating procedures is also required. The goal with this role is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing quality results.

  • Data entry
  • Extraction of specimens for PCR testing
  • Operation of thermocycler
  • Faxing and scanning results
  • Maintains and troubleshoots equipment, as required
  • Participates in quality assurance/quality control programs as required by government regulations and local protocols

Candidates must have superb organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently also plays an important role. All safety guidelines must be strictly followed to maintain a clean and orderly environment.

  • Perform various administrative tasks (e.g., booking appointments and telephone reception)

Security Guards – Casual Events, Southern SK

Haztech has openings for qualified SECURITY GUARDS to join our team on a casual basis from September 2022 – April 2023 for events in Southern Saskatchewan.

Haztech vehicles provided for events outside that require travel outside of Regina

As a member of Haztech’s Security team, you will be responsible for providing the safeguards necessary for the personal protection of fire personnel while protecting personal and department property from loss or damage due to assault, theft, and vandalism. In this role, you will provide site access and security clearance to staff, contractors, and visitors entering a remote camp in Northern Saskatchewan. You will be required to provide detailed documentation in compliance with the site’s Health and Safety Program, including documentation regarding the completed site and vehicle inspections.

Key Accountabilities
  • Maintain a positive relationship with Haztech’s management team and crew on site.
  • Secure the premises and screen patrons.
  • Take appropriate preventative and protective actions in response to safety and security incidents related to client, property and patrons.
  • Regulate and control access points.
  • Respond to any complaints or crowd control issues and decide what actions to take based on the situation, facts known, and position limitations.

  • Completion of 40-hour Sask Justice Security Guard Training Course preferred
  • Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 license

Haztech has a great opportunity for full-time and casual Firefighters/ERTs to join our team for a long-term project in Saskatchewan.

This is a camp-based role, and it requires the full-time ERTs to work one week on and one week off rotations. All travel, meals, and accommodations are covered by Haztech.

As a member of the ERT team, you will also create and review site rescue and fire plans and run drills and training.

The goal of this role is to optimize emergency response plans and procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to keep project personnel and the local community safe.

Casual ERT

  • The casual ERTs will be called to cover a minimum of 5 days plus 2 days travel
  • You must have the flexibility to be away for 7-14 days to remain on our causal list
  • You are not required to commit every time you are called, as some calls will be short notice

Position Summary

This role includes travel and living away from home for stretches of time. As a member of Haztech’s medical team, the OFA3 provides onsite medical services on a construction site, tending to both urgent, and non-urgent medical needs. Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise to provide emergency response, medical assessment, primary health care, injury prevention, and coordinate emergency medical evacuations as needed. The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of instructing experience and ideally Energy Safety Canada Certified. Those not certified with ESC must be qualified to become certified. Preference will be given to candidates who are also certified Standard First Aid & CPR instructors.
