Job Description

Nurse Practitioner – Washington

NURSE PRACTITIONERS, are you looking for a unique opportunity where you can make great money?! Haztech has a fantastic 2-month contract on an industrial site in Washington state, commencing at the beginning of September and we are looking for four Nurse Practitioners to work full-time and two for per diem coverage.

Job Details

The NP’s will work 12-hour shifts (days & nights) on a rotational basis, so there is a fantastic opportunity for overtime pay! Travel, meals, and accommodations are covered by Haztech!

Please note that two common industrial schedules are 3 days on and 3 days off OR 7 days on and days day off, but we will determine the schedule that aligns with the availability and
needs to the successful candidates.

The full-time NPs will work the rotational schedule and
the casual NPs are working per diem, on an “as needed” basis.

Job Description

As a member of Haztech’s Advanced Life Support (ALS) team, you will be responsible to assess / treat patients’ healthcare needs. You will work independently, and administer nursing care to injured, ill, convalescent, and disabled patients. Your wealth of knowledge will be relied upon to advise patients on their healthcare maintenance, disease prevention and/or provide occupational health case management. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company while providing a safe and positive work environment.

Please note that this role will require up to 50% overnight travel. All expenses are paid by Haztech when traveling for work.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Graduate of a reputable Cardiac Sonography program
  • Two (2) or more years of experience post internship/externship preferred
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonography
    (RCS)
  • Bonus if you have current RVT or are qualified to take the RVT
  • Current Certification in BLS required
  • Must be capable of recognizing normal anatomy and physiology vs abnormal pathology
  • Ample experience in performing complete transthoracic echocardiograms with
    doppler
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal
    supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and/or regionally
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds

Registered Nurse – Weekends – Saskatchewan

Haztech has a GREAT opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Southern Saskatchewan with Occupational Health experience or for any RNs wanting to venture into Occ Health! The RN will work one weekend a month in a clinic at a mine in Southern Sask. Accommodations, meals, and travel are covered by Haztech.

The role begins September 15th and is one weekend a month from Thursday – Sunday.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and treat patients
  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records
  • Record patient medical information and vital signs
  • Modify patients’ treatment plan as indicated by responses and condition
  • Prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, maintain equipment, and ensure supply stocks are maintained
  • Coordinate and execute health screening program for all employees, visitors, and contractors
  • Consult and coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
  • Complete required questionnaires, risk assessments, and health screening

Firefighter with ERT – Ontario

Haztech has a great opportunity for casual Firefighters with ERT certificates to join our team at a mine in a remote setting in Ontario. All travel, meals, and accommodations are covered by Haztech.

Casual ERT

  • The casual ERTs will be called to cover a minimum of 5 days plus 2 days travel
  • You must have the flexibility to be away for 7-14 days to remain on our causal list
  • You are not required to commit every time you are called, as some calls will be short notice
Responsibilities

As a member of Haztech’s ERT team you will respond to emergency situations to protect people, the environment, and property from all types of accidents and emergency situations. Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise in fire, rope rescue, confined space rescue and medical emergencies. You will inspect and monitor confined spaces/work at heights as required and ensure rescue, fire and EMS equipment is inspected and maintained. As a member of the ERT team you will also create and review site rescue and fire plans and run drills and training.

All safety procedures must be followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment. The goal with this role is to optimize emergency response plans and procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to keep project personnel and the local community safe.

Position Summary

This role includes travel and living away from home for stretches of time. As a member of Haztech’s medical team, the OFA3 provides onsite medical services on a construction site, tending to both urgent, and non-urgent medical needs. Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise to provide emergency response, medical assessment, primary health care, injury prevention, and coordinate emergency medical evacuations as needed.
