This practical rigging training course provides riggers and operators with a strong foundation in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance for equipment and proper rigging procedures.

Description

Practical rigging is essential skill for all riggers and crane operators. This practical rigging training course provides riggers and operators with a strong foundation in health and safety standards, preventative maintenance for equipment and proper rigging procedures. 

 

Course Objectives:

  • Describe how to safely and efficiently rig a load
  • Demonstrate the proper methods of slinging a load
  • Explain the fundamental properties of different sling types and describe the methods of attachment to use in rigging

 

Notes:

Appropriate clothing is required (i.e. jeans, long pants)

Employers are advised to not send injured employees who are unable to perform required exercises to pass the practical exercises of the course.

 

Course Length:

The course length including the theory, practical session including mandatory written theory test is an 8 hr (1 Day) course.

 

Course Completion:

All students who complete the course successfully will each receive a wallet size certificate. Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate a general knowledge of principles relating to safe hoisting and rigging practices in the construction industry.

 

Travel Charge:

All mobile training will be subject to travel charge round trip of $ 1.25 / km
