RN / OHN – Sask

As a member of Haztech’s Advanced Life Support (ALS) team the Registered Nurse (RN) will work with our healthcare services team to provide COVID testing service to our clients.

Services provided include (but are not limited to): Travel and living away from home for periods of time. Camp accommodations are provided during your shift rotation including travel to and from site by Haztech. You will manage the oropharyngeal and nasopharyngeal swabbing procedures in an industrial setting. The goal with this role is to optimize swabbing and testing procedures, administer flu shots and maintain medical records to keep project personnel and the local community safe. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company while providing a safe and positive work environment. Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records. Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient conditions. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans. Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and supplies, and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained. Administer local, inhalation, intravenous, and oral medications. Develop relationships and rapport with all colleagues, contractors and clients.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
    • Completion of recognized Registered Nurse (RN) program & valid SRNA license
    • Experience working on remote industrial, construction and resource sector projects
    • Ability to lead a team with strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking and time management
    • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
    • Valid driver’s license and criminal record clearance
    • Professionally represent Haztech and provide exceptional service to all clients

Medical Lab Technician – Regina

This role would be performed at the Haztech Health Centre. The duties will include but not be limited to collect, receive, label, and analyze samples. You will be required to handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings. The duties also include design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations, and interpret findings. You shall be organized and store all chemicals substances, fluids, and samples according to safety instructions, record all data and results in specified forms with accuracy and responsibility.

All safety guidelines must be followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment. The goal with this role is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to keep the community safe.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Medical Laboratory Assistant – Applied certificate
  • Proven experience as Lab Technician or relevant position
  • Experience in operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment and potentially dangerous substances (infectious bacteria, biohazards etc.)
  • Knowledge of QHSE Systems, preventative measures and laboratory best practices
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
  • Valid drivers license and criminal record clearance
  • Professionally represent Haztech and provide exceptional service to all clients

You will be required to handle sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct test report findings. The duties also include design and execute laboratory testing according to standard procedures, make observations and interpret findings. You must be organized and store all chemical substances, fluids, and samples according to safety protocols, record all data and results in specified forms with accuracy.

All safety procedures must be followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment. The goal with this role is to lead a team of medical laboratory technicians, optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to keep project personnel and the local community safe.

  • CMLTO or CSMLS certified Medical Lab Technologist
  • Proven experience as Lab Technologist or relevant position

Emergency Rescue Team – Ontario

As a member of Haztech’s ERT team you will respond to emergency situations to protect people, the environment, and property from all types of accidents and emergency situations. Responsibilities include the use of skills and expertise in fire, rope rescue, confined space rescue and medical emergencies. You will inspect and monitor confined spaces/work at heights as required and ensure rescue, fire and EMS equipment is inspected and maintained. As a member of the ERT team you will also create and review site rescue and fire plans and run drills and training.

The goal with this role is to optimize emergency response plans and procedures and succeed in producing reliable and important results that can be used to keep project personnel and the local community safe.
